Role Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Law Clerk. This role involves inspecting common and lot properties in buildings, documenting defects, and preparing comprehensive reports. The ideal candidate will be an undergraduate in law, construction, or a related field, with previous experience in a law firm being highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect Properties: Conduct thorough inspections of buildings to identify and document defects.
Document Findings: Take clear and detailed photographs of defects and compile comprehensive reports, including descriptions, locations, and potential consequences.
Report Preparation: Prepare detailed and accurate reports for review by the principal lawyer.
Collaborate with Legal Team: Work closely with our legal team to support construction defect cases.
Coordinate with Strata Managers: Liaise with strata managers to arrange inspection appointments.
Deliver Documents: Handle the delivery of documents to officials, other law firms, and related entities.
Administrative Support: Perform various administrative tasks as required by the principal lawyer.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
Teamwork: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Professional Interaction: Ability to interact professionally with legal professionals, engineers, and other stakeholders.
Driver’s License: A registered driver’s license is required for travel between sites.
Preferred Qualifications:
Educational Background: Undergraduate degree in law, construction, or a related field.
Experience: Previous experience working in a law firm is preferred.

Availability Required
Minimum of 3 days per week. We can cater to your University timetable.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Casual
Pay: $31.00 – $33.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 28 per week
