Job Description
The City of San Ramon, CA is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Police Records Technician I/II to join our law enforcement team. Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and confidential records of law enforcement activities
Process and distribute crime, incident, arrest, and accident reports to the general public and various agencies
Assist and provide information to the public in person and by telephone
Answer phones and provide assistance to the public, other city staff, and outside agencies
Process subpoenas and maintain accurate records related to individual files or criminal history information
Perform Live Scan and Ink Card fingerprinting
Demonstrate a full understanding of applicable policies, procedures, and work practices associated with assigned duties
Working Conditions
Work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
Interact with the public, law enforcement personnel, and other city staff on a regular basis
May be required to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
Requirements
Equivalent to completion of twelfth (12th) grade
One year of general office support or secretarial experience
Ability to learn, interpret, and apply administrative and departmental policies and procedures
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
