About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Lawyer for Government Services to join our team in Melbourne. As a key member of our Governance, Legal and Risk Services Department, you will provide strategic legal advice and support to our organisation across a broad range of legal disciplines. This includes interpreting and applying relevant legislation, advising on commercial and inter-governmental matters, and managing files related to litigation claims, property licenses, and leases.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality legal advice and support to the organisation

Manage files related to litigation claims, property licenses, and leases

Advise on commercial and inter-governmental matters

Interpret and apply relevant legislation

Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

An Australian practising certificate

Demonstrated experience in providing strategic legal advice across a range of legal disciplines

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

A proven ability to work collaboratively and build productive relationships with stakeholders
