Why Your Role Matters:
You’ll be joining our growing UNSW Legal & Compliance Office, which, in addition to supporting the management of disputes and conduct of litigation in a range of Courts and Tribunals.

We’re looking for a skilled litigator to play a highly valuable role in the team and diversify their knowledge across this portfolio, contributing to a proactive and collaborative mindset of the UNSW Legal & Compliance team. You’ll benefit from the guidance and mentorship of our senior lawyers and have the opportunity assist and advise on an expansive range of matters, proactively partnering with clients to provide effective legal solutions across the University. Your day to day will include:

Partnering with our colleagues in the University to provide sound legal advice in a solution-focused, timely and effective manner
Advising on and managing the University to resolve legal disputes
Managing the University’s timely response to subpoenas and other legal processes
Representing the University in a range of Courts and Tribunals
Assisting with the development and delivery of legal training programs and projects

Who you are: You will hold a tertiary qualification in law with 2+ years’ post-qualification experience in disputes/litigation alongside:

Admission to the Supreme Court of NSW and a current practicing certificate
A collegiate and can-do/client-centric approach
A flexible and adaptable attitude with demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities.
Excellent interpersonal skills alongside strong verbal and written communication abilities.
An analytical and problem-solving mind with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
