Job Description.
The role requires a technically savvy engineering expert who can troubleshoot existing complex DDI network devices with positive outlook and take lead in the design and implementation of new enterprise-wide next gen product deployments. A deep technical understanding of DDI Network technology pillars including availability, performance, and Security solutions.
Responsibilities
Act as technical SME when working with multiple lines of business to understand requirement
Understands Network-based technologies: demonstrates competency (or capacity to be successful) in the ability to translate customer/business requirements into DNS, DHCP, and IP Address configurations and successfully position with stakeholders
Ability to work in a UNIX based environment, including intermediate level sys admin tasks.
Should be proficient in Network protocols such as Ethernet, TCP/IP, and UDP. Able to read network traces to diagnose DNS and DHCP issues.
Knowledgeable in the interaction with other Network key components such as Proxies, Firewalls, Routers, Switches, and GTMs.
Understands Network-based technologies: demonstrates competency (or capacity to be successful) in the ability to translate customer/business requirements into DNS, DHCP, and IP Address configurations and successfully position with stakeholders.
Knowledgeable on Network management and monitoring tools (HP NNMi, Syslog, Splunk, Entuity, Tivoli ITM, HPNA, Cisco CMCS, Netscout, Bladelogic)
Firm understanding of IT Service Management processes, program and project management (i.e. MS Project, Excel, Word, hybrid
Knowledge of Domain Registrars, Akamai eDNS, DNSSEC, DNS ANYCAST, F5 DNS Express
Requirements:
Education: Any graduate
Experience Range:8+ Years of experience
Foundational skills
Functional understanding of network Layer 2 /3 switching and routing protocols
Good hands-on experience on installation and configuration of network and security devices and network services
Functional understanding of diverse set of networked applications and terms requiring application traffic management solutions including HTTP, HTTPS, SSH, FTP, DNS, NTP, ANYCAST services, NAT and others.
DMZ Network infrastructure knowledge including topology, security policies, firewalls and the L2/L3 switch and router infrastructure is required
Must have domain experience in network and network security
Strong interpersonal skills, both written and oral, and an ability to communicate complex ideas to all levels of the business
Experience in working with some or all technologies below
DDI (Blue Cat, InfoBlox)
IPAM/DNS/DHCP/NTP
Proxy, Reverse Proxy
Application Gateway
Network loadbalncer
Desired skills
Strong interpersonal skills, both written and oral, and an ability to communicate complex ideas to all levels of the business
