Job Role
• Take an active role and work with team on re-architecting, optimize system performance, availability, security as well as leverage, re-use and solve for technical problems when they arise.
• Lead Application / Technical Architect to Plan, design applications and oversee projects to ensure that right architecture is implemented for Treasury systems.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Lead Developers and Testers, Info security and group architecture to implement effective solutions.
• Coaching our engineers, leverage the Engineering Career Path, play a leading role in supporting hiring new engineers.
• Ensure governance and reduce time to market by embracing automation DevOps / CICD, SRE by design.
• Communicate technology strategy, architecture, system requirements to software development teams.
• Work towards Improving the system architecture by tracking emerging technologies, tool-stacks.
• Develop technical strategy, Define Technical Standards, tools, and techniques.
• Enable Cloud Journey for application platforms.
• Re-engineer ETL design for Data Domain.

• Understand and apply the technical architecture design principles and standards, adopt bank wide strategic initiatives like cloud, technology policy and standards.

• Accountable to ensure the required technical parameters are set to business user's needs. Design the user-friendly applications with high performing and accurate output to meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
Processes
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
People and Talent
• Build the appropriate culture and values to be a role model. Acquire new skills to keep up the system update to date and to align bank wide new initiatives.
Risk Management
• Adhere the risk management requirements and proactively manage and keep the stakeholder informed on the remediation plans.
Governance
• Adhere the application governance requirements and proactively manage and keep the stakeholders informed on the remediation plans.

• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. Our Ideal Candidate
• 10 years of experience in Technology (Architecting, Engineering, Design and Implementation of the applications / product in the Banking domain.
• Good knowledge of current technological trends, including cloud native applications, hands-on experience on RDBMS, In-memory computing tools, ETL tools, Vendor products, Cloud Computing, Data engineering patterns involving data virtualization using data mesh patterns, IT security standards.
• Proven experience as Data Architect, engineer, and ability to conduct technology analysis, research, code-reviews, guidance to developers.
• Effective interpersonal skills, communication skills to articulate at different levels, aptitude for creative problem solving, drive innovation.
• Experience in designing and building platform e2e using CI / CD pipelines.
