Job Description
The primary role is to process journals, reconciliations & reporting within the agreed TAT and Accuracy. Customer Related: · Prompt response to customer for enquiry · Prompt response for query resolution Process Related: · Day to day accounting · Banking journals, month end journals, accrual and provision journals · Claim payments /Receipts accounting · Preparations and review of Bank Reconciliation · Intercompany Reconciliations, investigate variances and weekly and monthly settlements · Balance sheet reconciliations and clearing items > 1 month · Ledger revaluations · Ledger P&L closedown journals · Assisting in preparation of Lloyd’s Syndicate reports – QMA, QMB, BHII, GQD/Claims Equalization Lead self and others: · Work in a cohesive manner with colleagues · Develops and maintains effective working relations with colleagues across the function, proactively answering queries and following up actions with stakeholders · Demonstrates personal drive and takes initiative · Develops awareness of opportunities to collaborate, cooperate with and help others · Listens actively and responds to communications, answering written and oral enquires clearly, concisely and confidently Reporting and Documentation: · Accurately update activity tracker Training and Updating knowledge: · Takes responsibility for self-development, actively seeking feedback and responding accordingly · Attend process update sessions/ Get relevant updates from supervisor if the session are missed · Clear PKT conducted by the team Others · Previous experience of Lloyd's regulatory returns is desirable/experience of Insurance Reporting · Good interpersonal & communication skills · Advance MS-excel skills Good skills and knowledge of relevant systems, controls and procedures [e.g., financial accounting, management accounting, report production and transaction processing]
Qualifications
4-6 Years of experience in the London Market OR P&C Market with Leading Broker and an International Specialty Insurer and Reinsurer. Experience in end-to-end R2R cycle for Insurance service provider Excellent knowledge of London Market requirements and end to end R2R operations (JE, Reconciliations, Financial statements variance analysis, Budget variance analysis. Expense, payroll JE and reconciliations. VAT returns JE validations and reconciliations with returns Graduate/Postgraduate with a good academic background (Graduate, Postgraduate in Commerce) Prior experience with a syndicate preferred
