Job Description
- Our client is an International Bank who is in search of a Senior potential candidate for their Data Analytics and Reporting team with strong understanding of Investment Banking/ Asset Management or Sales in the Banking domain along with Machine learning skills.
- The team is looking for a strong analytical candidate with solid experience in building models/ solutions for Asset Management business team using advanced analytics and Machine learning techniques.
- This role is in the Data Visualization and Business Intelligence team, hence ideally someone who has prior experience with data visualization and now into advanced analytics is great to have.
Some of the key responsibilities will include :
- Hands on data science techniques.
- Good experience in data techniques, machine learning algorithms, statistical methodologies.
- Build models/data applications to produce actionable insights.
- Develop impactful visualizations delivering simplified insights messaging.
- Excellent stakeholder and leadership skills.
- Deliver data insights, business value and recommend next steps to senior stakeholders.
To be eligible for this role you will require:
- Data science experience, preferably in financial services or commercial banking
- Ability to understand business problems/processes and design solutions/methodologies that are rooted in data.
- Hands on experience with
- Programming languages, e.g., R, Python, SQL
- Analytical tools, e.g., Alteryx, Trifacta
- Distributed file systems, e.g., Hadoop
- Visualization tools/programming, e.g., Qlik Sense, Tableau, D3
- Cloud computing platforms, e.g., Amazon Web Services
- Ability to design and execute repeatable and scalable data solutions (extraction / mining / modeling / visualization)
- Effectively communicate insights/recommendations (verbal and written)
- Exposure and experience with designing and building machine learning algorithms.
- Team player with a demonstrated strong work ethic. Demonstrates a high level of professionalism in behavior and performance and an ability to work well and productively with cross-functional teams.
- Engineering background / Masters/ quantitative focus a plus
