This is an exciting opportunity to be on the cutting edge of service management practices within a rapidly growing organization where you can help shape the future of availability and customer experience for our internal and external customers. You will spend time understanding the architecture, working with the engineers to find, define, and build tools that allow the team to resolve, escalate, and report on service-impacting events and incidents.
As part of our Engineering Development group you will be working individually and collaboratively to develop, implement, and support custom solutions through fast-paced, dynamic projects involving components at every level of the Q2 platform to extend its functionality to meet our clients’ unique needs. Our ideal candidate is someone with a self-motivated tinkering spirit and who is comfortable diving into professional development life while rapidly learning to engineer solutions using a mix of open technologies and our own proprietary framework.
Track record of developing and maintaining effective relationships with other departments to find, define, and build tools that allow the Engineers to improve efficiency as they solve customer issues.
High-level technical understanding of networking and Linux/Unix-based operating systems - Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, APIs, etc
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to effectively translate and communicate complex technical information and risk to all levels of internal and external organizations.
Strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, excellent analytical ability, metric driven
Work well under pressure and with differing levels of staff / Management
Self-disciplined, self-motivated, and the ability to organize and prioritize time effectively.
Flexible, creative, able to think quickly, take the initiative, and willing to make judgment calls.
