Lead Carpenter
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and construction, with the ability to lead projects and mentor junior team members. This role requires a hands-on approach, as well as the capability to interpret schematics and work with various power tools. The Lead Carpenter will be responsible for ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
Oversee carpentry projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and adherence to specifications.
Restore and renovate existing structures, applying advanced carpentry techniques.
Perform construction estimating for project planning and budgeting purposes.
Utilize CNC machinery for precise cutting and shaping of materials.
Ensure all work is plumb, level, and square, maintaining high-quality standards throughout the project.
Execute heavy lifting tasks as needed during construction processes.
Conduct construction painting tasks to finish projects professionally.
Lay tiles accurately as part of flooring or wall installations.
Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure seamless project execution.
Mentor and train junior carpenters, providing guidance on best practices and safety protocols.
Experience
Proven experience as a carpenter with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
Familiarity with various power tools and carpentry equipment.
Experience in restoration projects is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of construction estimating practices is a plus.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks associated with carpentry work.
