Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and construction, with the ability to lead projects from conception to completion. This role requires a hands-on approach, excellent problem-solving skills, and the capability to manage a team effectively while ensuring high-quality workmanship.
Duties
Fabricate and assemble various structures and fixtures according to project specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints to determine project requirements and timelines.
Perform heavy lifting as needed for material handling and installation tasks.
Oversee the installation of various components, including cabinetry, flooring, and trim work.
Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently in all aspects of carpentry work.
Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors to ensure project milestones are met.
Provide guidance and training to junior carpenters and apprentices on best practices in carpentry.
Requirements
Proven experience as a carpenter with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding construction plans.
Ability to perform heavy lifting
Experience with flooring installation techniques is preferred
Strong skills in using hand tools and power tools safely.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with team members.
A valid driver's license is required for travel between job sites.
