Part-Time Seasonal Lead Cashier at Woodland Park Zoo
We are seeking a Part-Time Seasonal Lead Cashier to join our team at the Woodland Park Zoo retail store. As a leader in providing exceptional customer service, you will play a key role in enhancing the guest experience and supporting the Zoo's conservation efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain efficient and friendly service at the point of sale by overseeing cashier operations, assisting guests with purchases, processing transactions accurately, and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Master the register system, handling all transactions with confidence and accuracy, including managing special transactions such as returns, price overrides, and other unique scenarios.
Ensure accurate cash flow and adhere to security procedures during opening and closing registers.
Requirements:
Prior retail, cash-handling, and customer service experience.
Flexible schedule, availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Natural ability to interact with guests of all ages, enjoy interacting with customers, and demonstrate products effectively.
Welcoming, positive, and friendly attitude towards customers, team members, and venue staff.
Physical Requirements:
Frequently stand, walk, and use hands to handle merchandise.
Occasionally reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Comfortably lift and move items up to 15 pounds.
