Your profile
• Engineering drawingauthorized checking within a mechanical design environment, preferably in arelevant field such as centrifugal compressors / Axial compressor / Expanders,Pumps, and other complex machinery.
• Check and approve theengineering drawings from the points of view of technical completeness,clarity, conformance with the DR-Standards and specifications, dimensionalaccuracy and the correct specification of materials and processes.
• To assist the LayoutDesign Engineer with promoting and developing a generally higher level ofengineering drawing, GD & T, and tolerance stack analysis skills across theteam through one-to-one mentoring and group training activities where required.
• A minimum of 5 years’experience in a Design/Manufacturing/Inspection environment which required theuse and interpretation of engineering drawings.
• Including acomprehensive understanding of the use of GD&T (ASME Y14.5-200+), Datumsystems. Datum target systems Limits and fits and Surface roughnessspecifications as applied to complex shaped machined compressor parts, and howthese translate into real world manufacturing.
• Ability to apply theabove knowledge in the appropriate manner to reduce part cost & reducescrappage through the practical application of modifiers such as MMC.
• Product LifecycleManagement (PLM) software such as Teamcenter 11(GloBus), with experience ofWorkflows within Teamcenter to support electronic design release, drawingmarkup and general paperless management of engineering data)
• Good knowledge ofdifferent types of manufacturing drawings like machining, forging, casting andwelding”.
• Working within anenvironment of continuous and rapid technical change
• Sound documentationcapabilities and thus experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, andPowerPoint.
• Excellent knowledge ofSiemens NX (preferably version 11) software
• Excellent interpersonalskills and ability to manage one’s own workload and tim
• Commitment to theachievement of the company’s long-term business objectives
• Your Qualification:
• Diploma in MechanicalEngineering with experience ranging from a minimum of 16 to 18+ years in therelevant area.
• BE / B. Tech MechanicalEngineering with experience ranging from a minimum of 10 to 12+ years in therelevant area.
