Job Description
The Capacity and Planning manager is responsible for managing WW on premise DC capacity in line with the DC Strategy. He will approve or seek approval for DC capacity reservation in the DC portfolio as per the Capacity approval process. He will provide Marco level design support for imitation phase of ET projects requiring DC capacity. Work DC team to determine IT placement to avoid provisioning of new sites. This role is aligned to the preparation and deployment assets in the SCB Data Centre environments, utilizing the Nlyte application. DCS lead on COLO renewal and right sizing to the DC
• Track and lead Colo DC renewal
• Ensure processes are followed to SCB standards
• Establish monitor and control metrics of DC occupancy models and track model effectiveness and impacts on Dc and DPLS Strategies.
• Gate keeper for Application placement supporting Cloud valve, GDC 2nd and CDC third.
• For the quality and timeliness of SBC DCS space management activities processes and outputs.
• Track and report on DC raised floor availability.
• Lead regional planning teams to develop optimization plans which include capacity give back.
• Maintenance of Data Quality in Nlyte
• Prepare intriguing Dashboards for public consumption (mandatory only via automation)
• Respond to management requests to produce "what if" scenario in Data Centre space
• Consume and aggregate forecast information for senior leadership in terms of space, power utilization on capacity
• Expertise and knowledge in trend analysis and ability to interpret data to provide recommendation to drive key business decisions

• Awareness and understanding of the Group's business strategy and model appropriate to the role.
• Assist Head of DC in implementing the Data Centre Services strategy around service, risk, cost, people, security & technology
• facility related service review meetings with DC vendors
Business
• Conduct monthly reviews of facility related service review meetings with DC vendors
• Partner with property and DC vendors to ensure DC services are provided according to approved contracts and agreements.
• Responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating risks to the Group. Also, an awareness and understanding of the main risks facing the Group and the role the individual plays in managing them
• Ensure a full understanding of the risk and control environment within the colo Data Centres to ensure positive outcomes on all audits and regulatory reviews
Processes
Responsible for ensuring the processes executed in delivery of the DC services offered comply with SCB standards.
• Ensure DC processes and support procedures are in place and adhere to Group Security & Audit policies.

• Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
• Responsible for delivering 'effective governance' in managing local and external DC vendors.
