Lead - Data Engineer| Thane
• Lead Data Engineer in the banking sector, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data infrastructure and pipelines that support critical banking functions.
• You will lead a team of data engineers, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and ensure the integrity, security, and performance of data systems across the organization.
Managerial Responsibilities:
• Guide and mentor teams, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Oversee planning, execution and delivery of data engineering projects, Define & enforce best practices for data architecture, pipelines and infrastructure.
• Governance & Compliance: Ensure data systems comply with security, privacy, and regulatory standards.
• Drive continuous improvement in data processing efficiency and scalability.
• Adhere to organization policies Process, Procedure, Compliance.
Functional Responsibilities:
• Architect and implement robust data pipelines and ETL processes to support banking operations, analytics and reporting.
• Manage and optimize data engineering architecture for scalability, reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts and business teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
• Lead the migration of data systems to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows and resolve issues proactively.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.
• Support Efficient Data Operations: Assist in maintaining data pipelines and performing ETL tasks, ensuring data is readily available for analysis and supporting daily business operations.

13+ years of experience in data engineering, preferably in banking or financial services.
