Designation: Lead Database Administrator
Location: Hyderabad
Job Description:
• Install, monitor, maintain and performance tune all Production, Test & Development databases.
• Upgrade database management systems, including MySQL and SQL server.
• Developing, implementing, and overseeing database policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of MySQL databases and their accompanying software.
• Install and upgrade database applications by applying patches and upgrades on a regular schedule.
• Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses
• Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users
• Determine, enforce, and document database policies, procedures, and standards
• Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity
• Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required
• Strong positive attitude and a demonstrated ability to accomplish complicated projects
• Experience in working Onsite - Offshore Model
• Collaborate with team to brainstorm and create new products
• Continually build the skills of colleagues through peer collaboration, mentoring and training
• work closely with IT project managers, database programmers and multimedia programmers.
• communicate regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security
Job Skills:
1.Extensive knowledge in MySQL, ETL (Talend or relevant), DB backup, DB- restore, DB Performance management and tuning. DB deployment automation, Data Security, Backup & Recovery. Standby/Failover Administration.
2. Knowledge on stored procedures and user defined functions in MySQL-Server.
TFS, and Workbench /MySQL Toad and managing AWS based MySQL RDS
3.Agile Methodology/Scrum Framework
4.Automated unit testing, Mocking, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration.
5.Working knowledge of software development lifecycles (SDLCs) and their utilization in software development projects
6.Should possess decent Communication Skills and Should be a good Team player
7.Talend (ETL) and Tableau
