Job Description
This person will be part of DevOps team and to ensure that Database maintenance tasks are performed as described by the Database Operations Guide and including, but not limited to the following:
Responsibilities
• Monitor performance of database systems resources and query throughput.
• Optimize SQL Code, as necessary.
• Monitor and maintain database storage resources, Monitor, and maintain database maintenance plans for backups, index rebuild/defragment, and database statistics.
• Code Integration and deployment via version control tool like GIT.
• Maintain and administer database security access.
• Trouble shoot and resolve database and infrastructure connectivity issues.
• Follow Change Management processes to implement configuration changes.
• Follow Problem Management processes to troubleshoot and resolve recurring issues.
• Proactively monitor and respond to Support Alerts
Qualifications
• Work Experience 5 to 10 years in MYSQL DBA.
• Demonstrated experience with relational database physical design.
• Demonstrated experience with relational database performance tuning.
• Hands on experience in SQL query tuning.
• Hands on experience in version control tools like GIT.
• Must have hands on experience with Unix Shell or Python scripting for DevOps/DBA automations.
• Working Knowledge of Cloud platforms or Virtualization platforms (AWS, Azure, VMware).
