The Purpose of This RoleHired associate would be responsible for providing end to end support for the backend databases of Fidelity. The associate in this role would work towards providing stability in the environment, ensure databases and services are up and running always, ensure compliance of databases with respect to the latest security patches and maintain TLM support for Fidelity databases.The Value You DeliverThe associate will be supporting, coordinating, leading multiple projects within the team, he will also be required to take on-call during the week/weekend in different shifts. The associate should be eager to work on automation/cloud technologies etc.The Skills that are Key to this roleTechnical / BehavioralAdministration of Oracle 12c/1+c RAC/Standalone databases on LinuxExadata/ZFS Patching, Upgrade, MaintenanceAbility to troubleshoot issues on Production callsInstall, Upgrade and Patching of Oracle RAC cluster and databasesRMAN backup and restoreAdministration of Golden Gate, Data Guard, OEM, ASM, ACFSWorking knowledge of AWS is a big plusWilling to learn new technologiesScripting (Shell, Python etc..)The Skills that are Good To Have for this roleCommitment to quality and high standardsAbility to lead and deliver projects independentlyExcellent oral and written communication skillsShould possess good leadership qualitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environmentAbility to work as part of and with high performing and aggressive teams.Positive team player, ability to effectively communicate with peers, customers and managementHow Your Work Impacts the OrganizationWe are the DBA horizontal supporting various RDBMS for multiple Businesses across Fidelity supporting all Production databases.
