Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Head Dental Nurse to lead our nursing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional to step into a leadership role within a supportive, dynamic environment. You’ll play a pivotal role in maintaining the smooth running of the clinical areas while supporting the delivery of high-quality dental care.
Key Responsibilities
Provide chairside assistance to dentists and hygienists during treatments.
Ensure a sterile, safe, and well-prepared clinical environment at all times.
Oversee decontamination and infection control processes and protocols.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality.
Support clinicians in delivering a high standard of patient care.
Supervise, mentor, and assist in the training of trainee dental nurses.
Conduct risk assessments, maintain COSHH files, and manage PPE supplies.
Support the practice manager in compliance, audits, and administrative duties.
Help manage stock levels and ordering of clinical supplies.
Welcome and reassure patients, especially those who are nervous.
Ensure smooth day-to-day operation of dental surgeries.
Requirements
Valid GDC registration (required).
Minimum 2 years of dental nursing experience (preferred).
Strong organisational and leadership skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask, adapt, and remain calm under pressure.
Experience using Dentally software (desirable but not essential).
Dental Implant experience (required)
Shifts Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday - 9am til 8pm, Saturday - 9am til 5pm
