Job Description
• To initiate the project by collaborating with various design teams and with the guidance from Technical specialists / Management team. Work with Marketing team to understand the customer requirements and project deliverables.
• To prepare Mechanical system requirement specification (MRS) and preliminary design document (PDD) in discussion with team members and seniors. 3.To get the MRS and PDD reviewed/approved by internal review team and customer
• To actively participate in Design review meetings. Conduct FMEA and Risk Assessment reviews and develop mitigation plan.
• To initiate procurement of the system components as per the approved design
• To contribute in finalizing project plan and resources requirements to Project Manager and Department heads. To derive monthly and weekly plan from the overall project plan.
• To assign activities and monitor/support junior resources to meet the weekly and monthly targets
• To provide technical support to the juniors and seek technical support from seniors, as required
• Communicate with various departments (Mechanical design, PCB design, RF design, FPGA and software design) as per the organization process to seek design activities as per the project requirement
• To develop stagewise design verification plan (DVP), manufacturing process flow, product development milestones along with Mechanical design team, Project Managers, SCM teams and to identify requirements of jigs/fixture for the development
• To work with SCM team to communicate and follow up suppliers for development milestones and review of DVP for the mechanical systems.
• To plan and execute system performance testing in discussion with PM, Team members, Technical specialists and leaders.
• To support delivery, complete site installation/integration and handover of the project post delivery
• To complete necessary documents in discussion with Technical writing team
• To baseline all the system related design activities and documents in discussion with the departments
• To record the lessons learned and to ensure the same is updated and recorded for future needs.
• Candidate will be part and reporting to Mechanical design and development team.
