Lead Designer

Roles & Responsibilities:

We are looking for an artful Design Head to undertake a variety of space designing projects. You will deal with design from conceptual development and liaising with the stakeholders to managing and executing the design.

The goal is to design practical spaces but yet visually pleasing.

· Undertake design project from concept to completion

· Lead the team with efficient problem solving skills.

· Extremely efficient with 2d drawings

· Have a creative streak and help the marketing team with design content.

· Heading the design team, reviewing their work and tracking their progress .

· Planning and scheduling teams weekly & monthly tasks

· Setting and planning targets for oneself and the design team.

· Writing and adhering to SOPs for the design team .

· Should have experience in residential and commercial interiors

· Define project requirements and schedule during the “brief”

· Needs to have great aesthetic sense and functionality of spaces

· Interpret and translate customer needs into rough plans

· Well versed with material specifications and finishes

· Research and decide on materials and products sourcing

· Set costs and project fees according to budget

· Able to handle the client with good communication and convincing skills.

· Produce “sample” and “mood products”

· Ability to handle all vendors and all stakeholders involved in the project to ensure on time delivery with good finishes

· Routine site visits to supervise work progress and preparing snag list along with concerned engineers

· Expertise in Autocad, Google sketch-up, V-ray, Excel and PPTs.

· Prepare detailed BOQs and checking of bills

· Work closely with designers, decorators, architects and constructors

· Research and follow industry changes, evolutions and best practices

Qualifications:

· B.Arch with Interior Design Experience

· BS degree in Interior Design or similar

Preferred Skills:

· Proven working experience in decorating interior spaces (consultations, renovations, space planning and new constructions).

·Expertise in layout, colour, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture and all installations.

·Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator or other design programs

·Excellent portfolio of previous works

·Creative talent, imagination and eye for design

·Communication and presentation skills

·Project management skills and at the same time being a good team player
