Climax Studios is a renowned game development studio with over two decades of experience in creating immersive digital experiences across various formats.
We are seeking an accomplished Lead Designer to lead our award-winning team on a major AAA console title. The ideal candidate should possess both creative and technical expertise, with hands-on experience in designing, prototyping, and implementing game designs in engine.
This role could be an excellent opportunity for experienced Lead Level or Lead System Designers looking to take their career to the next level.
Requirements:
Experience working as a Lead Designer on AAA 3D Action console games.
Expertise in Level, Player Character, Enemy design, and all aspects of 3D Action game design.
Proven track record of designing First and/or Third Person shooters.
At least two shipped games under your belt.
Able to drive forward all design aspects and take ownership.
Highly proficient in Unreal 5.
Strong understanding of all disciplines.
Excellent communication skills to maintain strong relationships with clients.
Responsibilities:
Lead the design team, sharing expertise and leading by example.
Estimate tasks and ensure timely delivery of high-quality design work.
Create and maintain clear design feature documentation.
Conduct regular design reviews with the team to ensure quality.
Mentor and conduct one-to-ones with project designers.
Collaborate with programmers, artists, and other personnel to create exceptional products.
