Primary Responsibilities :
Work with refactor conversion tools like mLogica Liber M , TSRI Janus Studio etc to perform mainframe transformations.
Provide expert level Java knowledge and debugging.
Provide insights about the base code COBOL.
Investigate complex issues faced by Factory team and provide solutions.
Document requirements, use cases, system design and code.
Participate in multiple concurrent projects to provide fixes on-time.
Work closely with Factory team to achieve desired results.
Mentor junior team members to improve their knowledge level
Guide junior team members on any complex issues/tasks, review their work
Thrive in an environment of collaboration and change.
Required Qualification
8+ years of experience with Core Java development, in complex environment like R&D
2+ years of Development experience in COBOL
A plus would be candidate with 5+ Years of Development experience using cutting edge development tools like Eclipse/VSCode, Profilers in Java.
Certifications in GCP is a plus.
Expert level in Java application technologies (JDBC, ANT, etc....).
Knowledge of GIT and REST
Expert level experience coding in Java
Capable of code debugging, performing builds, and rollouts.
Basic level experience in mainframe COBOL
In-depth understanding of Java OO concepts and data structures
Experienced in unit testing, test-driven development, integration testing, and deployment using cloud technologies.
Willing to learn Mainframe Technologies (COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2 etc)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with Waterfall and Agile Development Methodologies.
Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills
