eQ’s Product Development department is a group of highly accomplished, passionate, and friendly members who are responsible for the development and delivery of feature-rich, scalable, Cloud-ready enterprise products and solutions. Under the product development umbrella, we are expanding our existing Data Virtualization team’s capacity in Pune (India) by onboarding passionate and like-minded Lead level member. A desirable team player would be not just highly performing, eager to scale-up, and extensible, but would even get to provide differentiated and advanced features such as change data capture, push-down optimization, filtering, and update strategy to name a few. Since eQ caters to exclusive clients worldwide, one needs to have excellent technical and communication skills along with a zest to adapt to newer technologies.
Our Product Development team members are responsible for:
• Coach and mentor the team on software best practices (design, coding, troubleshooting, work breakdown, work estimation, refactor strategies, automated testing)
• Specify non-functional software requirements and analyze all requirements to determine design feasibility within time and cost constraints
• Estimate software development timelines and be accountable to the timelines by actively managing risks and changing requirements
• Design and lead the design of software using abstraction, low coupling and high cohesion, modularization, encapsulation and information hiding, interfaces, and separation of concerns
• Implement and lead the implementation of software using the practical application of algorithms, defensive programming and exception handling, fault tolerance, design patterns, and best practices of Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) such as SOLID (Single Responsibility, Open-Closed, Liskov Substitution, Interface Segregation, and Dependency Inversion)
• Test and lead the test of software with traceability back to requirements emphasizing the practice of Test-Driven Design and the use of autonomous frameworks and Continuous Integration
• Follow and improve agile software development processes and practices (SCRUM) to improve engineering efficiency to maximize resources and reduce the expense
• Ensure the adoption and application of software development tools (IDEs, test frameworks, static analyzers) to improve engineering efficiency to maximize resources and reduce the expense
