What You’ll Do
Position’s focus will be Software development for ET&D products. Enrich & foster climate of innovation to drive growth & accelerate capability development.
This includes
• Deliver on product development & technology innovation (Desktop & Web Apps) by understanding product requirements, design & develop feature enhancements and implementation of world-class high-performance enterprise grade software applications for electrical products using technologies like Angular, react, javascript.
• Deliver on Project, process, and overall technical execution on software activities of product development.
• Collaborate with global product engineering team and perform software development activities during project execution.
• Performs technical reviews including architectural and detailed design reviews
• Train, develop and motivate colleagues on technical aspects demonstrating ‘Right to Left’ thinking (starting with consideration for end user).
Job Responsibilities
• Engage in architecting and developing, web and Cloud based applications.
• Focus on Build management, change management, and configuration management tools like JIRA/bamboo/Bit Bucket/Github etc.
• Suggest and develop re-usable components and looks for continuous improvement opportunities. Share knowledge within the team and demonstrate flexibility working in parallel on multiple products.
• Develop an understanding of both technology and product concepts and articulate product and software Architecture. Ensure quality of delivery in accordance with the plan adhering to the standard practices used in agile/waterfall model.
• Experience in code reviews with team members for modules/tasks and ensuring that best practices and efficient coding standards are adhered.
• Actively participate to application development activities
• Manage and have ownership for all development cycle with respect of process, for example: git flow, code review, best practice evangelization (eg.SOLID principles)
Required
• Bachelor’s / Master’s in computer science / electronics/ E&TC engineering with 7+ years of experience in SW development for electrical industrial products.
• Hands-on Frontend: Angular, Javascript ASP.NET MVC
• Hands-on experience in writing Unit Test using JEST, KARMA/JASMINE. etc.
• Experience in development of AWS, Web apps will be added benefit
• Organizational tools: GitLab, Azure DevOps CI/CD, JIRA, Confluence
• Experience in working in Agile Team
• Hands-on experience on developing web applications using Angular 8.
• Able to configure embedded software systems and develop graphical user interface (GUI) on multiple platforms such as laptop, hand-held devices or web portals that allow user-friendly (re)configuration of safety systems.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, particularly with respect to written and oral communication, including the ability to explain technical concepts.
• Knowledge and experience with process frameworks (e.g. CMMI) including requirements management, defect tracking, build management, change management, CI/CD and configuration management tools
• Apply analytical & problem solving skills to resolve complex technical issues.
• Experience collaborating with local / global suppliers for Software procurement, building test lab setups etc.
• Excellent communications skills. A high degree of aptitude, creativity is required.
Desired
• Good to have experience on IoT, web platform development.
• Good to have knowledge of AWS, Azure based services
Qualifications
Education level required : Bachelors in computer science / electronics/ E&TC/ Instrumentation engineering
Years and area of experience require : - 8+ years of experience in javascript
• 3+ years of experience in typescript
• 5+ yrs of experience in Angular
• 3+ years of experience in Unit testing JEST/KARMA Jasmine
Technical knowledge
• Proficient with Javascript/typescript & its frameworks
• Proficient with Agile concepts
• Experience of development from customer requirement to final releases of web applications in global environment
• Understanding of Microservices.
• Good to have - cyber security certifications
• Good to have-Knowledge of Azure PAAS technologies & services is a plus
