Lead Financial Risk and Controls
Summary/Objective
The lead Financial Risk & Controls performs review of processes and procedures impacting financial reporting in order to evaluate best practices, efficiency opportunities, and compliance with the requirements of the IT Internal Controls for Sarbanes-Oxley Act (IT - SOX). The team member will be responsible for testing and reviewing IPE (Information Produced by Entity) program, IT General Controls (ITGC), ITACs (IT Automated Control) documentation within the specified timelines. Responsible in planning and participating in Walkthrough, actively discussing on control progress with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
• Focused on testing and validation of IT SOX Controls across ITACs and ITGCs.
• Coordinate with the IT Risk Officer and Control Owners to plan and execute the IPE Program across SVB.
• Actively participating with the team and reporting to IT SOX leaders around the progress, bottlenecks and challenges for SOX process areas.
• Testing and documentation of workpapers by obtaining suitable evidence items from numerous stakeholders
• Actively reviewing prepared by Senior Analyst and Analyst and providing necessary coaching to help the team to achieve organization and program goals.
• Formally communicating deficiencies and reviewing responses for validity, and tracking remediation efforts
• Track status to the plan and report delays to IT SOX Leaders and other Business SOX Leaders.
• Establishing and assisting with management reporting
• Provide recommended changes
