Job Description
A Senior Android Developer – OpenGL/Vulkan/GLSL is responsible for building advanced Android applications with a focus on graphics and performance. This role requires strong knowledge of GPU rendering, graphics APIs, and shader programming. You will work on visually rich and high-performance features, often involving VR or on-device machine learning.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain Android apps with advanced graphics and rendering.
• Use OpenGL ES, Vulkan, or WebGL for real-time rendering.
• Write and optimize shaders using GLSL.
• Work closely with designers and developers to deliver smooth visual experiences.
• Debug graphics issues and improve performance across devices.
• Stay updated with Android graphics APIs and tools.
• Integrate rendering with ML tools like MediaPipe or TensorFlow Lite.
• Explore graphics features for VR platforms like Oculus.
• Support testing and ensure apps run smoothly on different devices.
Requirements:
• B.E./B. Tech/M.S./M. Tech in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of Android development experience.
• Strong understanding of GPU architecture and rendering pipelines.
• Experience with OpenGL ES, Vulkan, or WebGL.
• Skilled in writing GLSL shaders.
• Proficiency in Kotlin, including Coroutines and Flow.
• Familiar with Android SDKs, performance tuning, and background tasks.
• Experience with Firebase, Google SDKs, and push notifications is a plus.
• Knowledge of Jetpack Compose and Crashlytics is a bonus.
• Good to have: experience with VR or game engines, and experience with ML integration.
