Sense is seeking a Senior or Lead Frontend Engineer to deliver our contractor communication platform to the world’s best places to work.
As a Lead Frontend Engineer at Sense, you’ll be intimately involved with bringing features from idea to completion, and mentoring an incredibly talented group of peers.
You’ll join a collaborative, fun team where everyone, including you, is active in the product defining and development process. Responsibilities:
• Provide product ownership and mentor a team of talented Frontend Engineers
• Build and maintain crisp, consistent interfaces for our customers
• Lead code reviews, pairing sessions, and architecture discussions
• Responsibility for several large-scale ReactJS web applications
• Work closely with our cross-functional teams consisting of designers, product managers, and QA in an agile, fast-paced environment
• Implement and maintain features such as Chat interfaces and data visualisations
• Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions
• Participate in interviews and hiring as we staff up our team
Qualification:
• Demonstrated ownership of product and mentoring other Frontend Engineers
• 4+ years of professional Javascript development experience
• Experience in creating modern web UIs with React and Redux
• Experience developing websites consuming various APIs from a microservice backend system
• Experience writing testable code and maintaining test infrastructure
• Exceptional coding, debugging, and architecting skills, with an eye for maintainability, reliability, and performance
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with TypeScript
• Experience with WebSockets
• Experience with Canvas, SVG, or animation
• Experience in a high growth startup environment
