Job Description

• Design and architect new large-scale system and application capabilities.
• Explore and evaluate new technologies to advance our SaaS platform and grow our business. Implement proof of concepts that exemplify appropriate use of the technologies
• Lead multiple teams that will execute initiatives from beginning to end, including working with product management, gathering requirements, brainstorming solutions, building final applications, and testing
• Delegate stories to team leads matching each story to the team with greatest functional affinity.
• Provide practical technical guidance to product manager partners to increase the odds of overall initiative success
• Coordinate technical issues impacting activities across teams
• Adjudicate and establish community best technical practices and team SDLC guidelines
• Coordinate with QA leads and principals to ensure the overall quality of initiative deliverables
• Mentor and advocate for mentoring across the overall technology team
• Work closely with architects, and other teams to design and implementation cross functional requirements
• Establish and maintain design and review best practices to guide multiple teams. Advocate for the voice of engineering
• Design and architect new single-page web applications and develop key system features
• Explore and evaluate new technologies to advance our SaaS platform and grow our business
• Lead a team that will execute projects from beginning to end, including working with product management, gathering requirements, brainstorming solutions, building final applications and testing
• Delegate tasks to team members matching their individual experience to the task to promote engagement, learning and probability of success
• Provide practical technical guidance to your product manager partner to increase the odds of overall project success
• Troubleshoot technical issues as they emerge
• Escalate technical issues impacting activities outside of your team
• Enforce community best practices and team SDLC guidelines
• Work with your QA lead partner to ensure the overall quality of project deliverables
• Mentor more junior developers and encourage senior developers to mentor as well
• Work closely with architects, and other teams to design and implement cross functional requirements
• Lead design and code reviews encouraging participation of your team members

Qualifications
• 8 to 10+ years of software development / engineering experience
• BTEC/BS/MTECH/MCA/MS in Software Engineering or related discipline
• Experience with Full Stack Software Development
• Experience in Back End programming in Java, Groovy
• Experience with microservice development is a plus
• Experience in User Interface programming with Javascript frameworks like Angular and Ember
• Experience in web application development
• Understanding of relational databases such as MS SQL Server
• Experience with non-relational databases like MongoDB is a plus
• Familiarity with Agile process
• Passion for learning new technologies
• Experience with IaaS & PaaS from a cloud vendor is a plus. Azure preferred
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus
