The Opportunity:
ECI has an exciting opportunity for an experienced, Lead Software Engineer - Java to join our Backend Team. In this role, you will make an impact in key areas: development, team leading, code review and testing.
In this Remote role, you may be 100% dedicated to one of our flagship clients or support multiple clients.
What you will do:
• Java Lead will be responsible for providing solutions for technical issues which may affect product delivery. The Java Lead will facilitate requirement analysis, conduct peer reviews and provide feedback, and enhance frameworks.
• A desire to work on a mature Agile project, with a focus on applying Lean techniques to maximize time spent delivering benefit.
• A willingness to actively particulate in all aspects of the software development life cycle, including but not limited to: refinement of requirements, estimation & planning, platform design & implementation, test & deployment automation, and platform resiliency & support.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor communications for different audiences, ranging from senior business to junior technology staff.
• A practical & pragmatic approach to working on technical re-engineering, while continuing to deliver business benefit in parallel.
• Knowledge, interest, and application of design patterns and development best practices, continuous availability.
• Advanced knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines.
Who you are:
• 7+ plus years of experience in defining solutions for large enterprise applications using Java/J2EE, Spring.
• Must have experience in Microservices.
• Strong experience in Spring Boot.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or related field.
• Knowledge of one or more high level managed frameworks (Java/JVM).
• Some experience in Cloud.
• Experience of the design and implementation of REST Interfaces(API’s), web services, Drools and Rules engine is desired.
• Experience working with and applying Design patterns to solve problems.
• Experience in Cloud Computing using AWS is preferred.
• Experience in designing and implementing microservices applications.
• Experience with JUnit, Docker, Maven, Gradle.
• Need experience in CI/CD and DevOps Understands Jenkins, GitHub, etc.
• Involved in development of RESTful web service implementations.
• Must be well verse any one of database like MYSQL or Oracle or Postgres or Mongodb.
• Experience in Insurance Domain is preferred.
• Good communication (Writing/Speaking skills) and people skills.
• Experience in Junit, Mockito, PowerMockito will be a plus.
• Familiar with standard SDLC and Agile processes, OOAD, UML, TDD, DDD.
• Experience working with multi-vendor, multi-culture, distributed offshore and onshore development teams in dynamic and complex environments.

• Experience with DevOps
