Lead KYC Compliance Role Job Title
Department: Compliance
Job Purpose:
The incumbent is responsible for developing and maintaining Know Your Customer (KYC) policies, leading and managing processes associated with regulatory agencies, liaising with internal stakeholders to establish an appropriate compliance culture, and providing development support.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain KYC compliance policies and procedures as directed by regulatory agencies.
Provide guidance on screening outgoing and incoming remittances for Special Designated Nationals, high-risk countries, and sanctioned businesses to ensure compliance with standard regulations.
Oversee relevant audits or inspections, including coordinating audit matters and drafting management responses.
Contribute to the approval of new banking business or products that may involve risk.
Report suspicious transactions to regulatory agencies, maintain records of detected violations, and document actions taken by management.
Ensure timely filing of periodic reports to internal and external stakeholders.
Lead the automation and upgradation of Transaction Monitoring software.
Develop and manage a periodic KYC updating program along with a Customer Risk categorization module.
Act as an independent review and evaluation body to ensure compliance issues are appropriately evaluated, investigated, and resolved.
Notify management and staff of changes in laws and regulations impacting the compliance program.
Liaise with regulatory agencies, internal advisors, and other control groups on compliance-related issues.
Establish an appropriate compliance culture and develop specialized training programs on KYC risks.
Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the team.
Qualifications:
Graduation: Any Graduation
Post-graduation: Any Post-graduation
Experience: 10-18 years of relevant experience in KYC compliance
