Job Description
• Protect the best interest of the company and maintaining the reputation in quasi-judicial forums like Ombudsman.
• Timely reply of legal notices
• Timely submission of replies before various consumer forums
• Reviewing the litigations and legal notices and ensure the total litigation numbers are stable by taking timely actions.
• Drafting of Board approved mandatory Policies and ensuring its compliance.
• Preparation of various Regulatory Reports and other internal presentation and reports
• Handling of various inter-departmental queries on legal matters
• Preparing management dashboard and submissions to the Board and other committees on litigation portfolio.
• Ensure legal due diligence and proper documentation with respect to branch offices.
• Drafting of various legal agreements
• Timely renewal of contracts and ensure that interest of the company is best protected.
• Provide legal opinion to claims, underwriting department on repudiation and null and void cases.
• Advisory services and information dissemination to internal stakeholders based on learnings from the litigation.
• Handle employee disciplinary matters by reviewing various communications, show cause, termination letters etc
• Maintaining the litigation MIS and timely update in litigation management tool
• Support in regulatory compliance matters as and when required.
