Qualifications
The Diesel Mechanic does need his/her own tools and ideally 2 years of diesel truck experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role
Proficient in working with maintenance tools, diesel engines, vehicle electrical systems, and gasoline engines
Comprehensive understanding of the mechanical and electrical components of street cleaning vehicles
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues quickly and effectively
Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to adhering to all safety standards and regulations
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Current and valid driver's license

Responsibilities
As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for repairing vehicles and maintaining our fleet of sweeper trucks
This is a +-5PM shift with some flexibility and every other Saturday shift
Perform routine and preventative maintenance on street cleaning vehicles, including oil changes, tune-ups, and tire rotations
Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with diesel engines, such as failures or malfunctions
Inspect and maintain the electrical systems of the vehicles, ensuring all components are functioning correctly and safely
Work with a variety of maintenance tools to repair or replace faulty parts
Conduct regular inspections of street cleaning vehicles to ensure they meet all safety standards and regulations
Maintain accurate records of each vehicle's maintenance and repair history
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and develop effective solutions
Provide recommendations for improving the efficiency and performance of the vehicles
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, techniques, and technology to ensure the highest level of service
