LEAD MECHANICAL DESIGNER
Location: Derabassi - Punjab, India

YOUR TASKS
• Arrange for various tests, including mechanical, mechatronic, photometric, and thermal, on sample devices and integrate the results into the design.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the molding injection process and tooling technology.
• Proficiently use CAD software (specifically Catia V5), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design for Manufacture (DFM).
• Clarify and define design requirements with the customer by creating detailed project descriptions and analyze design expenditure.
• Develop design drafts based on CAD data provided by the customer, taking into account device design, assemblies, parts, and technical and economic aspects.
• Create design solutions considering functional, material, technical production, and economic aspects; detail selected designs.
• Carry out and coordinate detailing work for devices, assemblies, and parts, and prepare all necessary 3D documents.
• Arrange for tests on sample devices, including mechanical, mechatronic, photometric, and thermal, incorporating the results into the design process.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or in a relevant field.
• Proven work experience as a Mechanical Designer, preferably in a leadership role.
• Expertise in using CAD software such as Catia V5, SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Deep knowledge of Design for Assembly (DFA) and Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
• Proficiency in molding injection processes and tooling technology.
• Excellent understanding of mechanical, mechatronic, photometric and thermal testing processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and innovatively.
• Proven ability to clearly define and communicate design requirements to clients and team members.
• Ability to carry out complex calculations and analyses related to mechanical design.
• Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
• Commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest developments in mechanical design and CAD technologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly and concisely.
