Role Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Emergency Department team as a Nurse Unit Manager. The successful candidate will provide leadership and clinical support to the department, ensuring efficient and effective management of the area. They will coordinate the delivery of nursing care that is evidence-based and manage human, financial, and material resources effectively. As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will also undertake direct patient care as required and provide guidance and support to less experienced members of the nursing team.
Key Requirements
- Current Registration with AHPRA
- Working with Children check
- Previous experience at NUM 1 level or equivalent
- More than 5 years Emergency Nursing experience
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A strong commitment to developing in a management role
- A commitment to a high standard of clinical and customer-focused care
- High degree of computer literacy
- Ability to work cohesively within a team environment
- Proven time management and prioritisation skills
- Demonstrate a sound knowledge base in labour management
- Demonstrated human resource management experience
