Skill Set: Oracle DBA, PostgreSQL DBA, Oracle RAC, Oracle ASM, Oracle Data Guard, Backup and Recovery, Scripting, Performance Tuning, Streaming Replication, Lead
Job Description:
• 8-10 years of experience administering large databases in mission-critical systems.
• Strong knowledge on database backup, performance tuning, data storage, data modeling, Data Guard and recovery concepts.
• Strong knowledge of postgres concepts including backup/recovery, switchover and performance tuning
• Good experience of team handling and management
• Good exposure on Install, upgrade, and configure database software and database related application packages.
• Hands on experience with upgrading and downgrading databases.
• Manage the DR site Databases, ensure the DR is in sync with production, perform DR drills and actual DR switch over in case of issues at Primary site.
• Strong skills in proactively monitoring and resolving database and sql query performance. Removing performance bottlenecks.
• Hands on experience in scripting to automate routine tasks
• Work closely with multiple application development team(s) to implement and support data-oriented development efforts.
• Knowledge of CDC concepts and managed databases is an added advantage.
