About the Role
We are seeking a Lead Platform Architect with deep technical expertise and outstanding leadership experience to guide the architectural vision of our platforms. You will drive platform design and delivery, define scalable solutions, and work hands-on with distributed teams to ensure excellence across our system and software architecture.

Key Responsibilities
Platform Strategy & Architecture
Define and own the architectural vision and roadmap for enterprise-grade platforms, including cloud-native, event-driven, and service-oriented architectures.
Break down complex, cross-functional business requirements into technical building blocks.
Align architecture with business strategy through tools like Domain-Driven Design, Event Storming, and Team Topologies.
Program & Delivery Management
Manage and coordinate workstreams across cross-functional and multicultural engineering teams.
Break down large projects into actionable tasks, define timelines, assign responsibilities, and track delivery across the development lifecycle.
Set up scalable delivery frameworks and standard operating procedures for platform development.
Team Collaboration & Coaching
Lead design reviews and sprint planning with engineering teams.
Guide and mentor senior developers and architects in architectural patterns, technology choices, and best practices.
Support team onboarding and continuous upskilling aligned with strategic goals.
Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate closely with product owners, business stakeholders, and C-level executives to ensure platform capabilities support core business domains.
Document and communicate architecture decisions, delivery milestones, and risk mitigation plans.
Conduct vendor due diligence and evaluate build vs. buy decisions in alignment with enterprise goals.
Required Skills and Experience
8+ years of experience in platform architecture, IT strategy, and software delivery.
Proven experience in managing and coaching distributed engineering teams.
Deep expertise in microservices, event-driven architectures, APIs, and cloud platforms (GCP, AWS).
Strong foundation in modeling techniques (UML, EMF) and architectural frameworks (SOA, DDD).
Track record of success in high-impact digital transformation initiatives.
Excellent communication and facilitation skills — fluency in English and French is preferred.
Nice to Have
Experience with PLM systems, IoT platforms, or data governance frameworks.
Familiarity with tools such as Kafka, Solace, OpenStack, ThingWorx, and architecture modeling environments.
