Responsibilities
You will serve as a team member in an assigned Pre-K classroom
Responsible for planning and implementing programs for children ages 3-5
The Lead Teacher provides a learning environment that is safe, comfortable and healthy in order to enhance growth and development
Also responsible for implementing classroom program in compliance with CCG standards, Head Start Performance Standards, NAEYC criteria, and local and state licensing standards

Provides an attractive physical environment with functional learning centers that are appropriate for preschool children

Plans activities for children in classroom that support the child’s individual needs as determined by information attained through the LAP-3 child assessment tool
Responsible for incorporating data from child assessment in all areas of instruction
Becomes familiar with routine of the classroom in which he/she may work
Submits reports, paperwork, and lesson plans in timely manner
Develops positive relations with children and their families
Develops positive relationships with co-teacher and fellow staff members
Treats children, parents, and staff with respect and represents CCG in a positive manner to all
Conducts parent meetings, home visits and parent conferences as required
Responsible for general safety, indoors and outdoors
Reports hazardous situations to the CCG staff member in charge
Ensures that daily sanitation standards are maintained
Requires the acquisition of knowledge and proficiency of the Head Start of Greater Dallas and Redelearner Database within the introductory period of employment

Participates in the entry process of child into care giving group
Shares responsibility of setting up room for daily activities
