The Role: Lead Release Engineer
The Team: You will be part of a world class engineering team architecting various solutions for business requirements within different product offerings of Sustainable1. The team is responsible for ensuring cloud solutions that deliver Greater Reliability & Resilience, High Performance, High Availability and Scalability.

Responsibilities & Requirements
• Programmatically automate server configuration, software builds, testing and deployments
• Work with development teams providing deployment services from initial development through production deployments
• Continuously improve and refactor the tools and code our team builds and maintains
• Participate in regular after-hours and weekend production deployments
• Document work for cross-training purposes within the team and craft partner documentation and training
• Work with various teams (DEV, QA, Product) in a cross-functional manner
• Regularly attend operations team meetings and project scrum meetings
• Lead junior resources providing hands-on guidance and roadmap.
• Aure DevOps, TeamCity, Jenkins, Spinnaker.. CI/CD.
• Terraform, Helm, Spinnaker, Chef, Ansible
• GoLang, Python, Ruby, Bash, Java... you know which one to use and when.
• Prometheus, Grafana & DataDog… Observability is imperative to success.
• The operating system is just one part of the ecosystem. You're well versed in the rest (networking, storage, DBs, etc).
• Experience with AWS's eco system, Hasicorp's ecosystem is a must.
• Experience with container deployment using ECS, EKS, Docker
• You know how to set direction and build consensus through vigorous debate.
• Ambiguity doesn't scare you. You see it as an opportunity to define the future.
• You automate things rather than doing them twice.
• You're a hands-on strategist.
• You can lead a project yourself as well as implement.
• Love the Lean-Agile software delivery methodologies.
• Love CI/CD and how to optimize for deployment and QA velocity.
Basic Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering is required, or in lieu, a demonstrated equivalence in work experience
• AWS Certification and RedHat Linux Certification preferred
• 7+ years of experience in Application DevOps automation or Infrastructure Engineering
• Experience with DevOps tools (Jenkins, Maven, Ansible, GitHub, Artifactory)
• Experience with AWS managed services
• Experience in RedHat Linux scripting
• Able to work in a diverse team
