About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Risk Analytics Consultant for our Market and Counterparty Risk team.

In this role, you will:
Lead complex initiatives related to business analysis and modeling, including those that are cross functional, with broad impact, and act as key participant in data aggregation, monitoring, and reporting of stress testing and portfolio analysis for Risk Analytics
Review and analyze complex programing models to extract data and manipulate databases to provide statistical and financial modeling specific to businesses supported
Manage the roll out of pilot programs developed as a result of programmed models for supported businesses and product line
Make decisions in complex product strategies, data modeling, and risk exposure, requiring solid understanding of business unit projects and regulatory responses, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that influence and lead Analytic and Reporting to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
Collaborate and consult with peers, less experienced to more experienced managers, to resolve production, project, and regulatory issues, and achieve risk analysts, and common modeling goals
Lead projects, teams, and mentor
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Overall 5+ years experience in similar role
5+ years of SQL experience
Strong technical skills and problem solving skills
Strong data analytics skills to extract insights from data
Good knowledge of data warehousing concepts
Ability to perform RCA (Root Cause Analysis) for data issues
Ability to identify inefficiencies and opportunities to improve the process
Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas
Strong stakeholder management ability
Knowledge and understanding of issues or change management processes
Prior experience in Banking/Traded Risk
Experience of working across one or more geographic territories or regions
Knowledge and understanding of market and counterparty risk management
Prior experience of working in Market and Counterparty risk management for a bank.
Knowledge of tools like JIRA, Confluence and GitHub.
Knowledge of Capital RWA, CVA, CCAR and other Regulatory Requirements.
Job Expectations:
Perform market risk data analysis, validation and reconciliations; supporting key market risk systems, on a daily, weekly, monthly basis.
Perform root-cause analysis on data issues and drive implementation for remediation.
Perform reconciliations to source (or system of record) and highlight anomalies.
Identify, report, explain and remediate market risk data gaps.
Support market risk data migrations, UAT, data-mapping, data lineage, data reconciliation and documentation in alignment to policy and governance.
Identify opportunities and deliver process improvements, standardization, rationalization and automations.
Performs internal testing and processes related to implementation requirements.
Define data quality rules and implement them in data testing framework.
Work on various data related issues, including data gaps, in a multi - vendor environment and offer solutions.
Support research, analysis and development of market risk data-fields, data-marts and meta-data
