About The Role & Team
Accountable for designing information security architecture while ensuring consistent and effective information security administration procedures and processes.
Also designs implements maintains and supports infrastructure services in accordance with business and functional requirements using appropriate SITA standards policies and processes across multiple projects.
What You Will Do
• Designs security models review and approves security configuration and installation of firewall VPN routers IDS scanning technologies and servers. Whilst assessing any potential risks and determines solutions to these risks. Monitors industry security updates technologies and best practices to improve security management. Oversees security awareness programs. Educates and communicates to staff about information security polices procedures and practices. Participates in the development of hardware/software/network security procedures and guidelines that support information security policies.
• Implements builds and supports infrastructure systems and platforms in accordance with agreed standards meeting the agreed technical and functional business requirements and specifications.
• Ensures the integration of the requirements matches that of interacting systems applications and services both inside and outside of SITA in the wider airline community. Participates in full lifecycle of multiple small to medium projects ensuring the solution(s) developed are able to sustain the projects' functional and business requirements. Ensures all risks and issues that affect the project are raised following set processes and are actioned appropriately. Escalates risks and issues that pose a significant impact to deliverables.
• Designs implements maintains and supports infrastructure services in accordance with business and functional requirements using appropriate SITA standards policies and processes across multiple projects.
Experience
• Degree in a technical discipline (e.g. Computer Science or Engineering).
• Minimum of 8-10 years IT experience or equivalent work experience in a relevant environment.
• Ability to provide security and infrastructure solutions, determine overall design direction and provide hardware and security recommendations for complex technical issue
• Experienced in designing, integrating, and managing infrastructure solutions and their security
• Experienced in designing, provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure solutions and their security
• Proven track record in producing communicating and documenting successful technical customer solutions
• Pre-Sales Business and or Commercial experience is a plus
• Have a very strong infrastructure and security architecture background, with a very good understanding how it impacts the other IT disciplines ,e.g. applications.
• A willingness to keep up to date with developments in new technology and security best practices
• An understanding of information legislation, such as the Data Protection and Privacy Acts from around the world.
• Deliver and ensure quality assurance against the infrastructure and security design during the project phases.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences
• Problem-solving and good analytical skills
