Position: Lead Software Developer
Experience in software development in the automotive area
Role
Responsible for developing and managing all the software development teams (EV Supervisory controllers, Body Controllers, Driver Displays, Infotainment, Connected Systems) for Electric Vehicle development for buses and LCV programs for Global markets.
Desired Skills:
Hands-on experience with MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow and code generation methods similar to Embedded Coder, and Target Link.
Working experience in M-Script and S-Function development
Should be experienced with the latest tools and hardware interfaces (Linux, QNX & AUTOSAR, and interface protocols of CAN, LIN, I2C, SPI, Ethernet I/P, and Wireless)
Working experience with automatic code generation tools like
Deep and hands-on knowledge of MISRA, Automotive Spice, and MAAB modeling guidelines. ISO 26262 awareness will be preferred
Working knowledge of C programming and Embedded C code
Experience in using Requirements management tools such as DOORS
Experience in using Configuration management tools such as GIT, SVN, or equivalent
Working knowledge of automotive protocols such as CAN, J1+3+, UDS
High level of oral and written communication skills
High level of analytical ability and interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
Self-directed and highly motivated
Strong teamwork and collaborative development skills are a MUST
Ability to work independently and with others
Requirement:
• Responsible for complete Vehicle Software Architecture and software deliveries across different vehicle platforms and regions
• Will lead teams for power train, vehicle supervisory, vehicle charge, Body controllers, driver display/cluster controllers, and other areas of human-machine interfaces (telematics, connected solutions, HMI units)
• Define, plan, and lead software life-cycle development processes and strategies within Switch R&D
• Coordinate with other teams within Switch and supplier partners by sharing information, generating execution plans, and managing project deliverables including project targets and timing
• Investigate new technologies, strategies, and methods to attain improved performance in current and future Electric vehicles while considering system costs, drivability, and performance impacts
• Create and maintain multi-platform reusable/modular software for different vehicle platforms
• Establish an organizational strategy for software development tools (modeling and auto code tools, Static Analysis, Dynamic analysis, automated testing), evaluation, and institutionalization of best-in-class processes.
• Engage and direct the teams in the modeling of control systems and functional algorithm development using Matlab/ Simulink – Model-based design
• Lead and guide the team to meet regulations and international safety standards: ASPICE, ISO26262, FMVSS, EuroNCAP, and TS16+4+ for global markets. Understanding of Automotive Performance & Safety test requirements as per IEC, ISO, GB/T, AIS, UL, EN, BIS, IS, ECE, CISPR, DIN, and VDE standards.
• Manage escalations and track department deliverables/documentation that is required as part of the Gate releases process
• Provide leadership and technical direction in problem-solving through Root cause analysis, risk analysis, mitigation planning, and prevent the recurrence of existing issues.
• Should have good communication skills, translate organizational objectives to software deliveries, influence, lead and motivate team members from different time zone and a different backgrounds to accomplish goals effectively and efficiently.
• Support senior management with defining technology road-maps and planning for future developments
