The Lead Software Engineer I for Radiometer is a significant role in ensuring that the software delivered from the Immunoassay (IA) SW team meets the defined design specification and the quality needs. The team is currently developing software for the IA analyzers in Radiometer’s product portfolio. Team proficiencies are primarily desktop standalone application development and testing. Our software is developed in close collaboration with the other half of the SW team located in Copenhagen, Denmark.
In this role, you will be responsible for the Software development and testing for standalone medical devices with external connectivity used in the point of care setup in the hospitals, propose and apply modern methodologies and technologies to build world-class products. You will also work with multi-functional project teams to develop new and sustain the existing products. To achieve the objective of this position you will have to collaborate and connect with all the partners within R&D and beyond.
This position is part of the Radiometer located in Bangalore and will be hybrid. At Radiometer, our vision is to improve global healthcare with reliable, fast, and easy patient diagnoses.
You will be a part of the Immunoassay team and report to the Manager, Software Engineering responsible for the software design and development for the Immunoassay analyzers as part of IA business in Radiometer.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
• Design and develop software using C++, COM, C#.NET (includes UI, business logic and/or motion control components) in collaboration with different partners both internally and externally.
• Ensure code quality with meticulous code inspections, unit and integration testing.
• Collaborate with Product Owner in driving decisions and technical implementation to support the product roadmap, release schedules, and maintain the architectural standards that ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Investigate to root cause on sophisticated issues and bugs; develop countermeasures and fixes using Danaher’s DBS tools and processes
• Establish relationships with peers across the business and use the relationships to drive innovation.
• Own and develop documentation required for medical device regulatory clearance.
• Keep an eye out for technology trends, open-source projects that can be used.
The essential requirements of the job include:
• Bachelors/Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent with ++ years of relevant experience in software development
• Hands-on in architecting small-to-medium scale multilayered applications using an object-oriented language and data management system.
• Ability to analyze, document use cases, communicate the designs using UML diagrams and apply relevant design patterns and processes to deliver clean code
• Excellent technical knowledge on C++ in Windows platform and have a passion to work across technologies including C#.NET, WPF, VB6, COM, etc.
• Experience of working in Agile/Scrum development methodologies with an understanding of several aspects of SW development processes.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
• Experience in working on the design control requirements as per ISO 13485 and software life cycle processes as per IEC 62304
• Understanding of the formal risk management processes as per ISO 14+71 and the cybersecurity standards
• Familiarity with working with all pieces of a DevOps toolchain (coding, source management, building, testing, packaging, releasing, and monitoring)
• Understanding of the Tool stacks like Jenkins, git, visual studio, Confluence, Jira
