Being a member of the IT Architecture and Enterprise Services(ITAES) Team means you will be part of diverse and collaborative group of technologists. DTCC ITAES is the expert in architecting and developing enterprise shared services in support of clearing and post-trade life cycle events between 6,000 financial services firms in 52 countries. We enable clients to accelerate the clearing and settlement of trades, seamlessly connect and interoperate with their counterparties, and respond to changing market and regulatory conditions ensuring quality, efficiency, and excellence using innovative technologies.
You will collaborate with your peers within and outside your area to ensure that any best practices/approaches/standards are reused and the solution is designed elegantly and robustly. . You would be part of an Agile squad and will collaborate with the Product Owner (PO) to understand the business needs and participate in planning, defining, technical design, implementation, and deployment with the development team.
What you'll do:
• You will give to the design of components or individual programs and participates fully in the development and unit testing.
• Research, assess, and apply new technical products/solutions to the team projects and new systems designs.
• Working with the Senior Application Architect, and other technical contributors at all levels. This position gives expertise to project teams through all phases, including requirement gathering, design, development, deployment, and post-deployment support.
• You will work as part of an AD project team and may interact with the business, Functional Architects, and domain experts on related systems.
• You will help onboard new team members including training new comers on the project requirements and the development modules. Skills Needed For Success:
• Very strong Core Java including Collections, multi-threading concepts, Java Templates
• J2EE, Framework knowledge - Spring, Sprint MVC, Spring boot
• Restful API implementation in Java
• Drools Rule Engine
• Python or JavaScript development experience a plus
• Database knowledge with good SQL, PL/SQL skills
• Web technologies for backend as well as front end
• Demonstrates strong analytical and communication skills
• Familiarity with container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes will be a plus
• Working Knowledge of Agile, CI/CD, Dev/Ops practices and tools
• Hands on experience in AWS services (EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3, Aurora) is a plus
• Familiarity with Java build tools and frameworks like Maven.
• Bachelor's degree preferred and/or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in Development Tools and Programming languages:
• Eclipse or IntelliJ
• Jenkins
• DB IDE: Toad / PgAdmin
• JUnit
• Jackson or GSON for Java JSON parser
• Tomcat
