Job Summary:
Your role as a Lead Test Engineer in the Corporate & Investment Banking team at JP Morgan will be to help the team to understand the how and what they should be testing as we move forward in delivering our transformation. You will bring a unique perspective to the team and drive the Test strategy, reinforcing quality and testing throughout the SDLC. You will be continuously evaluating and innovating to improve our testing approach including our test frameworks and tooling. You will develop new testing infrastructure/strategies to fulfil given requirements (functional, performance, accessibility, etc.). Working with L3 Support and the engineers you will help to troubleshoot issues across the stack and identify gaps in our testing that can be filled.
Job responsibilities:
Lead the Automation Testing strategy for the team and clearly communicate this across all teams.
Own our testing infrastructure and continuously improve our solution.
Understand the flow of code and how it interacts with different components.
Implement test tools and frameworks that help us release with confidence.
Work with teams to understand test automation gaps and implement coverage.
Work towards embedding testing within our CI/CD practices.
Coordinate testing efforts across teams to ensure delivery of high-quality feature and b eing pragmatic and diligent in exploring issues.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Formal training, or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience as a software Developer in Test with at-least 4+ years of experience in leading team of Test Engineers
5+ years of experience in Selenium, Cucumber, Cypress, Java, Spring Boot, Microservice and with Non-Functional testing (Performance, Resilience, etc.)
Hands on experience in Building Test Automation Frameworks from scratch
Deep understanding of BDD / TDD - Behavior Driven Development/ Test Driven Development
Demonstrated ability to run POC's and evaluate tools and create solutions for common friction points.
Hands-on experience to automate regression and functional test cases, CI/CD (Jenkins, Maven, Gradle)
Experience creating, and promoting, automated testing, standard methodologies, and guidelines for enterprise applications.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Ability to quickly learn new tools and techniques focused on testing and e xperience in collaborating in agile development methodologies and pipeline management
Good knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
Good to have experience with API Test Automation and React
Experience with Cloud Technologies, Docker and Kubernetes is a plus
