Job Title: Sr. Software/ Lead Software Engineer Business Unit: Core Electronics (CE) (Sub-division of DE / TP&A) Company: Wabtec Corporation Location: Bengaluru, India Salary: Salary commensurate with qualification and experience Wabtec is currently seeking talented Embedded software Engineer to join Core Electronics (CE) product team. CE is part of Digital Electronics vertical, and the team is focused on developing safety critical onboard product offerings such as Electronic Airbrake System, Event recorders and End of Train Telemetry system. Using agile software engineering approach, in this role the engineer will be contributing to RTOS based Embedded application software development and unit testing. Responsibilities:
• Design and develop high quality software products in a fast-paced environment
• Support and enhance the entire software development life cycle
• Perform and guide the automation of unit, module, system and regression level testing on various software modules and systems
• Perform root cause analysis and develop solutions as necessary
• Accountable for system requirements review, software architecture and design
• Adhere to Wabtec software development processes Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related field
• Proficiency in C and Exposure with C++ programming in a multitasking and multithreaded environment on a RTOS platform.
• Experience with RTOS like QNX, VxWorks, etc. or Linux.
• Experience working with Ethernet, TCP/IP or RS 232/422 protocols.
• Hands on experience testing/debugging Embedded software/ firmware
• Experience with interposes communication and Synchronization methods
• Familiar with Software version control tools. Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge of safety critical software standards or Experience with rail or Automotive software is a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies such as Scrum and TDD in an embedded environment
• Exposure with Device Driver, Hardware software interface development on RTOS or Linux platform.
• Hands on experience with Shell or Batch scripting. Location: Wabtec Bangalore Office, or Hybrid mode as per project deman
