Job Description
The Lead Software Engineer for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for design and implement software platform features, common applications by following the software development lifecycle and design controls for the next generation of laboratory software systems.
This position is part of the Software, Systems and Automation (SSA) business unit located in Bengaluru and will be hybrid mode working. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.
You will be a part of the ICE team and report to the Engineering Manager II responsible for Quality, On-time delivery, and team engagement. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
• Design, implement and deliver software solutions.
• Work in iterative product release environment, with focus on quality and delivery goals.
• Collaboration with cross functional teams Product Management, Service, and Systems team to understand the needs and translate into actionable features.
• Understand complex system issues and drive root cause in a global environment.
• Explain and articulate problems and solutions to offshore teams.
• Drive solutions with cross site teams and deploy it in the system, provide demos and drive to closure.
The essential requirements of the job include:
• Bachelor s/Master s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 7+ years proven experience in .Net Core (.Net Std) and/or Java with Azure Apps, IOT (DPS, Hub and Edge).
• Hands on experience in working with Containers, Microservices (Required) and Azure IOT (Plus)
• Hands on experience in distributed loosely coupled Microservice architecture and domain driven design (developing and testing use casedomain isolation of persistence, IPC and presentation).
• Hands on experience with application containerization (Docker, Kubernetes(K8S)) and orchestration. Great Exposure to Continuous Integration, delivery and deployment, version Control (e.g., Git).
• Effectively use the knowledge on inter process communication (gRPC/REST) and application development using HCJ (e.g., React).
• Effectively use the event driven architecture using message bus (e.g., RabitMQ)
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
• Experience in medical device design & development in Agile environment is a plus.
• Understanding of software development processes for a regulated environment (FDA/ISO13485) and experience in medical device verification is a plus.
