Being a member of the IT Solutions ITP Data Platform Team means you will be part of diverse and collaborative group of technologists. DTCC ITP is the operations expert, automating post-trade life cycle events between 6,000 financial services firms in 52 countries. We enable clients to accelerate the clearing and settlement of trades, seamlessly connect and interoperate with their counterparties, and respond to changing market and regulatory conditions ensuring quality, efficiency, and excellence using innovative technologies.
You will collaborate with your peers within and outside your area to ensure that any best practices/approaches/standards are reused. You would be part of an Agile squad and will collaborate with the Product Owner (PO) to understand the business needs and participate in planning, definition, and high-level technical design with the development team. You will collaborate with your peers within and outside your area to ensure that any best practices/approaches/standards are reused and crafting elegantly and robustly.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
• Technology Expertise – is a domain specialist on one or more of programming languages, vendor products, DTCC applications, data structures, business lines
• Platforms – works with Infrastructure partners to stand up development, testing, and production environments
• Requirements Elaboration – works with the Functional Architect to ensure designs satisfy functional requirements
• Data Modeling – reviews and extends data models
• Is aware of frameworks – that promote concepts of isolation, extensibility, and extendibility
• System Performance – contributes to solutions that satisfy performance requirements; constructs test cases and strategies that account for performance requirements; tunes application performance issues
• Security – implements solutions and executes test plans working mentoring other team members in standard methodology
• Standards – is aware of technology standards and understands technical solutions need to be consistent with them
• Documentation – develops and maintains system documentation
• Is familiar with different software development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, Kanban)
• Aligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to supervise and mitigate risk; advances appropriately Talents Needed for Success:
• 5+ years of front-end development experience with React and common JavaScript design patterns.
• Strong experience in development of SPA with React. Provide strong hands-on in implementing React frameworks defined by the lead/architect in the teams.
• Deep understanding on reactive functional programming paradigm and its concepts: React Redux (Action, Reducer, Store, View) or Flux, Data Binding; React component (life cycle), React Router, lazy loading, lifecycle hooks etc.
• Experience with integration patterns and invoke/consume RESTful services using JSON and integrate with UI.
• Working knowledge with AG-Grid.
• Proficient in CSS, HTML, and writing cross-browser compatible code. Good to have an exposure on SASS or Less or Stylus.
• Experience with browser-based debugging and performance testing software.
• Proficient in test first and test-driven development approach. Perform unit tests and conduct reviews with other team members to make sure your code is rigorously designed, elegantly coded, and effectively tuned for performance.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with other developers and co-workers including distributed team members. Nice to have
• Experience with distributed systems architecture concepts such as microservices and micro frontends.
• Experience with any BI tools such as Looker, PowerBI or Tableau is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science is required, Masters' preferred or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding on Secure Coding and Best Practices.
• Solid grasp of Agile, CI/CD, Dev/Ops practices and tools
• Demonstrates strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent oral and written English
