Site Reliability Engineering at Freshworks:
Software & Systems Engineers who work alongside the Freshworks
products and platform teams, for prototyping, designing and developing highly
reliable, secured and performance oriented applications across the Freshworks
suite of products. SRE team is pivotal in terms of working across the length and breadth of the Freshworks product line.
SRE IC3 Roles and Responsibilities:
• Collaborate and work closely with the product and platform engineering teams with a vision to design and develop truly scalable and reliable
• products.
• Design, write and deliver software to improve the availability, latency and performance of Freshworks products.
• Undertake architecture reviews and define policies, frameworks and best practices for application development & deployment.
• Triage and Root cause analysis across the complete application stack.
• Derive and define SLOs and SLIs.
• Continual improvements to MTTD and MTTR in collaboration with the products and platform teams.
• Define and drive automation and orchestration strategies.
• Establish credibility with the quality of your own and your team's technical execution.
• Advocate and evangelise SRE adoption and best practices across Freshworks.
Qualifications
Requirements:
• 7 - 12 years of SRE experience in architecting, designing and developing complex distributed systems.
• Strong experience in full stack application development & deployment across public cloud platforms.
• Hands-on experience in designing, instrumentation and configuration of Observability (metrics, logs, traces), and load testing tools.
• Knowledge of JVM concepts like garbage collection, heap stack, profiling and class loading.
• Experience with Microservices based architecture and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with large scale PaaS environments (VMs / Containers).
• Proven ability to work with multiple teams and prioritising multiple tasks.
