Job Summary
As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase with CTC PRODUCTION MGMT under CYBERSECURITY & TECH CONTROLS, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job Responsibilities
• Design, code, test and deliver software to automate manual operational work
• Troubleshoot priority incidents, facilitate blameless post-incident evaluations and ensure permanent closure of incidents
• Expert knowledge in AWS or other Public Cloud services related to compute, storage, networking, messaging, automation (Cloudformation, Terraform, etc.) and data
• Identify application patterns and analytics in support of better service level objectives
• Design performance tests, identify bottlenecks and opportunities for optimization and capacity demands, and present solutions for continuous improvements, design self-healing and resiliency patterns
• Design best in class monitoring frameworks to accomplish end-to-end flow monitoring and noiseless alerting
• Design automated software and product upgrades, change management and release management solutions
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
• Bachelors / Masters degree in computer science or equivalent experience in a software engineering discipline
• 12+ years of hands on experience.
• Expert in at least one technology stack designing, coding, testing, delivering software
• Expert practitioner in one or more technology domains, may be a cross-domain expert, able to solve complex and mission critical problems within a business or across the firm
• Working knowledge of infrastructure components such as routers, load balancers, cloud products, container systems, compute, storage and networks
• Excellent debugging and trouble shooting skills
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Datadog, Cloudwatch etc
